Reared from Aonidiella aurantii on citrus (Georghiou 1977); In 1961, A. melinus originating from California, USA, was first released in Cyprus (Wood 1963).; Parasitoid of crop pests Aonidella aurantii; displacement of presumably native Aphytis chrysomphali (Orphanides 1984).
