Habitat detail

2 records. Meneou pool, December 2011 & Famagusta wetlands, May 2012. It is highly unlikely that this species will ever be recorded in Cyprus again, unless someone has them in captivity and they escape (Christina Ieronymidou pers. comm.).

Has been spotted in Cyprus in recent years (2011 + 2012), although it does not have established populations (Birdlife 2018).

Vagrant or escape. Accidental visitor from unknown established populations (Richardson and Porter 2020).
