Establishment status detail

Cryptogenic: Sandy seashores near sea-level; only noted for Division 4.  Though stated by probably introduced by some authors, Meikle stated that he had seen no positive evidence of introduction.  The form on Cyprus is closest to that known for Anatolia (& Afghanistan).

Osorio-Tafall & Seraphm (List Vasc. Plants Cyprus, 83) indicate that they regard this taxon as "known or believed to have been introduced to Cyprus by the agency of man". Although Meikle (1985) notes that "[t]his may well be so, though I have, to date, no positive evidence of introduction."
