"It is highly probable that the observed specimen was the specimen released at the above location two years earleir, as ascertained by the authors. In fact, on 22 June 2016, a V. louti individual with an estimated TL of 35 cm, was released there by an amateur aquarium hobbyist along with another serranid fish (Cephalopholis sp.). The reasons for these releases were that (i) both fish grew too large for the aquarium and (ii) Zephyros is a good place for the fish to live" (Huseyinoglu and Jimenez 2019. In: Koutseni et al. 2019).
