Alien: Cultivated.
Stated by Frangos to have been planted in the grounds of the Agricultural school, Nicosia, also between Asinou Church and Ayios Theodhoros, and perhaps grown elsewhere in Cyprus (Meikle 1977).
Native of Australia, rather uncommon in Cyprus - Lefkosia, forest road Agios Theodoros-Asinou, Platania, Amiantos, Phylagra, Saittas (Tsintides et al. 2002).
As the species is not established introduction pathways are indicated in case of possible/potential escape from confinement.
