Alien: Seen in gardens at Kato Paphos, and may be more widely grown in Cyprus (Meikle 1985).
An exotic species cultivated in gardens and parks - Petra tou Romiou, Protaras, Kapedes, Lefkosia (Tsintides et al. 2002).

As the species is restricted to parks and gardens introduction pathways are indicated in case of possible/potential escape from confinement.
