Alien: Recorded (by Frangos) from Government House grounds, Nicosia. It is a very ornamental species, said to furnish one of the richest of tanning barks, and to be useful as a sand-binder (Meikle 1977).

Native of Australia, not very common in Cyprus - Lefkosia - Lemesos main road, Athalassa, Strovolos, Orkontas (Tsintides et al. 2002).
