Other notes

Note that there is some uncertainty as to the status of this species on Cyprus. Viney (1994) lists it for North Cyprus, noting that it was "[f]irst found 1991 in 2 ditches at Lapta, possibly spreading". However, Hand et al. (2011-2020) do not admit it, presumably on the basis that they have not seen a correctly identified specimen, and that the non-native North American Bidens species can be somewhat critical.
