Alien: Naturalized non-invasive. 

Rather surprisingly absent from Cyprus as a native through fairly frequent in cultivation. Newly recorded as adventive and invading natural habitats, mainly forests - scattered locations, though especially in Limnitis valley.

Introduced to Cyprus some decades ago. It has been planted in many places, e.g. gardens and road plantations in all cities, but also in the countryside (Tsintides et al. 2002).
