Alien: Naturalized invasive. Gardens, roadsides & seashores, sea-level to 600' - planted in Divisions 4-7 as hedge or windbreak, and becoming naturalised in some areas though still uncommon.
A naturalized adventive species, usually occuring in coastal and inland (Tsintides et al. 2002).
Introduced during the early 1900s (Georgiades 1995).
