Pathway detail

Τhe preceramic house mouse of Mylouthkia most likely results from an unintentional introduction during the colonization of the island by Neolithic pioneers. This was probably loaded onto ships leaving for Cyprus along with stocks of grain and pulses, as part of the ecological and cultural baggage brought to Cyprus by the Neolithic people (9th to 8th millenium BC) (Cucchi et al. 2002).
