"Neoseiulus californicus (McGregor) was collected in March 2010 from roses (Rosa sp.) grown in a greenhouse in the Peristerona area of the Nicosia district. Additionally, this phytoseiid was found in large numbers (>5 individuals in each of the sampled leaves) in September 2010 on beans in open-field cultivation, in the area of Chloraka of the town of Paphos" (Vassiliou et al. 2012).

"It is important to note that no commercial importation of these species took place at any time and no release studies in any of the cropping systems adopted in Cyprus are reported" (Vassiliou et al. 2012).
